Thank you for sharing your journey so far with our readers. Let’s begin: please introduce yourself and let us know how long ago your journey started? What drew you to art? Any early influences?

Gal

I've always loved drawing from a very young age. I really liked Disney movies, especially “Toy Story.” It gave me a lot of inspiration as a child for my paintings, and later also for my art. My journey started at the age of 13. I had nowhere to study, there were no tutorials as there are today, and I had to study everything on my own from scratch. I remember that in the first years I had a hard time and I left the field for a few years and returned to it later at the age of 16. I was more mature, and I invested my whole soul into my art.

At the age of 18 I enlisted in the Army and served in a unit called IDF Spokesperson, as a 3D artist. I learned and progressed a lot as a 3D artist and made a lot of connections. When I was released I decided to establish my own company. it took me a while but in the end it happened; the company is called Fuzion, and I am the company's head 3D artist. I employ 20 people, and today we are in discussions about opening a branch in the U.S.

Were you always happy with what you produced, or was there a turning point where you thought; “This is it, I’ve made it!”?

Gal

I love my work and art. I would never send a client or publish a work that I don’t love with all my heart and am not satisfied with, but I also always strive to learn and get better. I believe the sky's the limit.

When I released the “Iconic Series” there were insane reactions, that’s when realized I could channel it to very high places, and already my works are appearing on TV, and I work with some of the biggest clients in the world, such as Autodesk who are my clients and gave me the title “Artist of the month”. As for today we’re in discussions for creating an animated movie, and I dive deeply into the music video industry for very well-known singers in the world.

Which piece are you most proud of, and why?

Gal

“Donald Duck,” “Bugs Bunny,” “Daffy Duck,” and “Popeye” are the art pieces I’m most proud of.These works caused the greatest turn in my career and the greatest exposure to my art. I signed with one of the largest fine art galleries in the world thanks to these works.

What are you still working on improving (if anything) - or have you reached a point of high consistency? Do you have any tips for keeping it fresh?

Gal

First of all I always strive to get better. I think no matter what you can always learn more, especially in the 3D field because creativity is infinite. It is not the software we use that give us creativity but our brain. It is always possible to imagine and create endless things; the software is just a tool to fulfill the imagination.

A few tips for maintaining freshness: don’t necessarily look at the 3D world and look for inspiration there, observe what's happening in the world and find inspiration there. The world is constantly evolving and new things always happen, you can draw from the world endless inspiration.

What advice would you give to any of our readers who are just beginning their journey now?

Gal

Learn and a lot, don’t give up because many times it is not easy. The 3D world is infinite. I would recommend learning as much as possible, but do focus on what you love, for example if you like characters the most then focus on creating characters or if it's VFX then focus on that, and so on. This is how you will spend most of your time on what you love best and thus you will be the best at what you love.

Don’t be afraid to learn new software because with time new tools are developed that will greatly help you. Learning and perseverance is the key. Tip: When it's sometimes a little hard, take a break to freshen up because that's how you see things more clearly. Many times when I had a hard time, I would take a break and then I would be able to go back and solve the problem.

What can we expect to see from you next?

Gal

In the future we’re going to see a lot of music videos created by me for the greatest singers in the world, TV shows, participation in movies, and my art that is going to be sold among the greatest galleries in the world. In the distant future I also plan on opening a masterclass course following the high demand, where I will teach techniques unique to me.
