A portrait with winter as theme, done for personal project where I portray all four seasons through male characters. I wanted to both get practice painting and designing males and have a clear concept for these paintings as well.
About the character concept behind this illustration: being and embodiment of icy cold winter, it would follow in his footsteps and all things would be covered in ice and frost in seconds upon his arrival.
As weapons he could use weapons made of hard, magical ice as well as ice spells. Because the theme for this was winter, I stuck to cold color palette.
