As a matte painter, I am going in my works for the mood and impression. And as much as I am fascinated by war and drama, warmness and peacefulness were my goal atmosphere in this one. To suspend this moment in time. I placed this fantasy city on a cliff facing the vast, infinite sea. I modeled and rendered most of the buildings in ZBrush and did rest of the job in Photoshop using photo references and textures.
