3D Still Lifeby Zeno Pelgrims

Proud to present you my latest piece, a 3D still life. The main purpose of this project was to learn how to integrate CG elements onto a photographed backplate properly. I learned a lot about capturing lighting information, texturing and shading. I enjoyed making this piece a lot, I really could get lost in thinking about and creating the fine details. The modeling was rather simple and done in Maya, the details were sculpted in Zbrush. After that I took my work into Mari and textured it. I used Arnold with the alShader library to render it all. During the project I kept track of my progress, and wrote everything down in a Making-of. You can take a look at it over here: http://zenopelgrims.com/still-life-breakdown/
