Here's my personal take of one of the most famous subject among Renaissance and Baroque artist who is the biblical hero David. Originally this was a simple study of the male face to learn how to sculpt it properly. I found myself looking at a lot of classical statues for reference that I realize that the masters have a great understanding of facial structures and how to break it down to simple forms and shapes, one in particular was the statue of David by Michelangelo. Then I decided to turn it to my take on David and give it a classical statue finish.
I sculpted everything in ZBrush, textured in SP, and rendered in Arnold.
