Staff pick contest July 2019

Drumroll please! The July 2019 gallery was packed full of great entries, and indeed, any number of Ismail Inceoglu's amazing creations could have been staff picked. His entry Carrotland! was chosen by Stéphane Wootha Richard as the winner, with honorable mentions for Hadi Karimi's David Bowie, Christian_J's Firegoblin, eduardosilva's Mel, and oldi's Homage to Bierstadt.

A strong composition, with a dynamic, yet simplified shape language. The balance between the roughness of the strokes and the details where needed convey a sense of movement that almost animate the painting. The use of the red as both a color accent and a path leading the eye inside the image is just perfect!
